Taking Sides

Two of Dorothy’s sons coached football. Occasionally, their teams faced each other. “It was an odd feeling,” Dorothy said, “I didn’t know which side to sit on or who to root for.”

The Contest

Spiritually, which side are we on? The Bible is clear: there are just two sides, and they are polar opposites (Acts 26:18). We must choose (Joshua 24:15; 1 Kings 18:21; Matthew 12:30).

The Consequences

Those on the wrong side are the ultimate losers (Matthew 6:24; 7:13-14, 21-27; John 8:24; 14:6; James 4:4). Those with Jesus are the ultimate victors (1 Corinthians 15:57-58).

Considering the outcome, can we afford to get this wrong?
