What Comes First?

A test of faith

God assured Israel He would provide if they allowed the land to lie fallow every seventh year. But they didn’t (Leviticus 25:20-21; 26:33-35).

That God takes care of His obedient children is as true today under the New Covenant as under the Mosaic Law.

After urging us not to worry, Jesus reassures us, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things [food and clothing] will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

Worry vs. faith

We can worry or we can trust. God would spare us needless anxiety.

But if we give top priority to stocking our pantry and closet, do we really trust Him?

A Christian CPA told me that even during tax season he’s always present when the church assembles.

That’s the kind of faith God can bless!
