Was he, or wasn’t he?
Some thought Jesus was John the Baptist or Elijah or Jeremiah come back to life.
Peter, however, acknowledged Jesus as “the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus commended Peter for this confession (Matthew 16:13-17).
Many today speak of Jesus as a great moral teacher, but no more than that.
But does it make sense to ascribe greatness to Jesus while at the same time rejecting who He claimed to be?
